Full Lace Wigs - Different Removal Methods

Liquid Adhesive Removal Method:

Gather all the hair of the full lace wig to the crown, and secure it completely.

Saturate the lace  around your entire hairline, with a full lace wig glue remover .

If the lace has not yet begun to lift on its own, start at the point of origin, which is where you started the bonding application.

Gently lift up the lace.

If the lace readily releases, continue to lift slowly from your skin.

If you run into any resistance, use some full lace glue remover, by placing a small amount on your fingers, and run it under the lace. Never spray glue remover directly towards the face.

Do not use cotton balls or paper towels to remove any adhesives, as the fibers will adhere to the bond, making it very difficult to remove.

Remove adhesives from your hands, using glue remover.

Remove any  glue residue off the lace ,that can be rolled off by hand.

If those residue are difficult to remove, lightly spray glue remover directly on the lace, wait a few minutes and either roll it off or use a soft tooth brush to gently brush  it off the lace.

In extreme cases you may use the mirror method which consists of pressing and sliding gently the glue down a mirror surface.

When all the adhesive are removed, wash your full lace wig immediately.

Tape Removal Method:

This method of removal will require more patience.

Access the point of origin which is where you started bonding process of the lace or the point where the lace is starting to lift.

Place one finger on the tape, using it as a an anchor to keep the lace on the skin.

Use your other hand to gently pull the lace away from the tape, continue to work your way gently, around the whole perimeter of your head, until the lace is released from the tape.

Clean off any  glue residue from the lace using the method(s) described above.

Then proceed to remove the tape from your skin.

If the tape is sticky and difficult to remove, use glue remover to help the removal.

Then wash your full lace wig immediately. For detailed instructions about how to wash your full lace wig, please follow the instructions of the : Care & Maintenance section, located in the main menu  of our website.
