The most common symptom is that you are hearing sounds that no one else can hear that are around you. If you hear a ringing or buzzing sound and the people next to you do not hear it, that could be a good indication that you may have this condition.

Also, you could also hear a sound that sounds like a rushing noise. It follows your heart beat and is know as pulsating tinnitus. This is a different form, but the same condition.

Also, you could hear buzzing in your ears or head. This is also a common sound that comes along with tinnitus.

I want to tell you what I think you should do even if you are questioning what you are hearing. You need to go to the doctor and make sure that there are no other conditions causing the noises.
