Tinnitus Masker

Some of the people who have been diagnosed with Tinnitus have found relief by turning to a Tinnitus masker.  A Tinnitus masker is a device that produces a low volume sound meant to cover up the noise created by Tinnitus.

Some people use Tinnitus maskers without even knowing it.  During a particularly bad episode of Tinnitus, many people may turn on some relaxing music, the TV, or focus on sounds other than what their ears are producing to try and escape. This is a form of Tinnitus masking.
Thankfully, some researchers have studied what works and what doesn't work as a Tinnitus masker.  Obviously, devices that create loud overbearing noise will just lead to worse Tinnitus in the future, but devices that produce mellow low frequency sounds have been prove to have helped distract the mind temporarily.  It's important to understand that not just any sound will reduce the effects of Tinnitus; even certain low frequency sounds can cause more damage than good.  It's important to get the right information to create precise decisions on what type of Tinnitus masker is best.

A Tinnitus masker is a great way to get temporary relief, but unfortunately, it's not a long term solution.  There are ways to get rid of Tinnitus permanently without having to undergo drug therapy or surgery, and you won't have to worry about using a Tinnitus masker ever again.  There are multi-level programs available that will not only help someone to relieve their Tinnitus over the short term, but will find out what's causing it so they can cure it forever.
