The biggest organization doing research for tinnitus treatment and cure is the American Tinnitus Association. Scientist work to find more information about tinnitus in order to find a permanent treatment and cure. The Association considers tinnitus to be their uppermost priority and help the tinnitus patients many ways. The excellent researchers are awarded funds by the association to help them in their extensive further researches.

About $ 4million dollars have been allotted by the Association since 1980 and in 2008 alone about $600000 dollars have been spent on the research of tinnitus. About eighty four studies have been supported.

The scientists working on it are on the in search of more information. First they have created a road map by collecting all the known facts about tinnitus and recording them.

Next step it to find additional information to search for a way to cure the disease. Although it is a long process, everyday, new information is collected, which takes the scientist close to the discovery of cure. They study the suffering patient’s condition and record them. The ATA is supporting the scientist in all ways to find a cure for these severely affected patients, so that they can as well lead a normal life like others.
