How to Take Nebivolol

Nebivolol is available in tablet form. Nebivolol must only be administered by a qualified healthcare provider. Try to take nebivolol at the same times each day to avoid missing any doses.

What are the Side Effects of Nebivolol -

Like all medicines, Nebivolol can cause some side-effects. Some common side effects reported with this medicine include the following. Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

* Headache
* Fatigue
* dizziness
* Paraesthesiasis
* Tiredness,
* coldness of the extremities (fingers, toes and nose),
* disturbed sleep,
* nightmares,
* shortness of breath,
* upset tummy,
* skin rashes,
* dry eyes,
* fluid retention (swelling of the feet and ankles),
* depression,
* problems with eye sight, pins and needles or sexual problems.

Nebivolol intraction with other drugs:

Concomitant administration of chlorthalidone, hydrochlorthiazide, theophylline or digoxin with Nebivolol may reduce its extent of absorption.
Warnings and precautions before taking Nebivolol :

* Nebivolol medicine may reduce your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how Nebivolol affects you and you are sure it won't affect your performance.
* Do not stop using this Nebivolol medicine suddenly without asking your doctor, or you may develop life-threatening heart problems. You may need to slowly decrease your dose before stopping it completely.
* This medicine (Nebivolol) should not be used during pregnancy.
* Talk with your physician or pharmacist if you are taking other medications.
* Breast Feeding - Problems such as slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, and trouble in breathing have been reported in nursing babies. Mothers who are taking beta-blockers including Nebivolol and who wish to breast-feed should discuss this with their doctor.

What if Overdose of Nebivolol ?

If you think you or anyone else may have taken too many Nebivolol, immediately telephone your doctor or contact your local or regional Poisons Information Centre Seek medical attention immediately. You may need urgent medical attention.

What if Missed Dose of Nebivolol?

If you miss a dose of Nebivolol medicine then contact your doctor if you miss a dose of Nebivolol. Do not double doses.

Storage Conditions for Nebivolol:

Store Nebivolol at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep Nebivolol medicine where young children cannot reach them such as a locked cupboard. Never keep out of date or unwanted medicines. Discard them safely out of the reach of children or take them to your local pharmacist who will dispose of them for you.
