Breaking Porn Addiction - How to Kick Your Addiction

Porn addiction has become a modern affliction that is by and large hidden to mainstream media and general discussion on the subject. It is considered embarrassing and is largely anonymous so it goes unheeded and undocumented and more and more people fall into its trap as the web and the adult entertainment industry become more prolific on the net and access become easier and easier especially for young people who are more susceptible to such things. Breaking porn addiction can be done however and it can be done by anyone willing to try, as they say admitting you have a problem is the first step ... if this is you then read on.

As has been mentioned the ease of access to pornography on the web fuels your addiction but it is not the cause of it. The actual causes can be many and varied from person to person ranging from a feeling of sexual hopelessness where sexual gratification online is easier than trying to deal with it in real life to a full blown sex addiction where too much seems never enough and you spend hours upon hours browsing porn finding new and exciting ... and completely unrealistic sex acts. Not only does this take your time but it can warp your mind to what real sex actually is which can destroy your relationships and make it harder to actually interact with people especially those of the other gender.

The second step I advise is to change your outlook on what porn is, while it may have started as titillation and a small escape it has become something much more, if you can change your mindset about what porn is and what it does for you the urge to surf for porn becomes less and less desirable. This is not easy and is an ongoing thing through your self treatment but you must always be aware that you are trying to think in a different way and that you have become in a way brainwashed by the porn industry and it needs to change.

Breaking porn addiction involves a lot more than just this and needs to be looked at in the context of your own life and your own experiences making it difficult to say there is one cure, but if you consider yourself to be addicted and you can see the damage this can do then you are half way there to becoming sexually healthy once again.
