9 Items Every Woman Needs to Carry in Her Car

Have you ever felt like a complete damsel in distress broke down on a highway or pleading for help at a gas station? Keeping these 9 items in your car could spare you the embarrassing helpless feeling.

Jumper Cables:There's nothing worse than leaving your lights on, needing a jump start and everyone you ask doesn't have cables either. Carry your own and you are sure to find help much faster.

Tire Gauge:It's more than just having it; you need to know how to use it, too. The amount of pressure needed for you car is generally written on the inside of your car door. It's also written on the sidewall of the tires. A tire Gauge is easy to use, simply insert the tire stem and read the numbers on the gauge.

Paper and Pen:This may seem like a no brainer. It's hard to memorize important information like addresses while you're on the road. Keep it in a handy place and save us all from your search in your purse with one hand as you talk on the phone with the other and drive your car with your… Jedi powers? You may even need it sometime to write down instructions so you can perform your own quick repair.

Napkins/tissues:These are great for spills. Darn coffee anyways. They are nice to have if you need to get under the hood; wiping off dip sticks and your hands. A napkin also becomes a precious commodity if you're stranded for a bit and need to tinkle.

Cell Phone Charger:Just imagine, you've been in a minor accident or broke down on the freeway, you're waiting on hold for assistance, and… your phone dies. Yeah, it's that important.

First-aid:This isn't necessarily for while you're driving. A day at the lake or a rowdy night out can cause an assortment of minor injuries. Sometimes, it's just nice to have a band aid nearby.

Small Toolkit:Yes ladies, you should carry one too! Having a screw driver or adjustable wrench could be the difference between a quick temporary fix and an expensive tow bill. Trust me on this one!

Water:An engine over heating is a common breakdown problem. Carry a couple gallons of water, let the engine cool down (NEVER open the radiator cap when the engine is hot), dump in a gallon and get a little closer to safety.

Extra Funds:Keep a little money in you car. Forgetting your purse or leaving your wallet in the wrong purse could cause you to run out of gas. It's an embarrassing situation and easily remedied.

At some point, each and every one of these items will be a blessing to have on hand. Some of these scenarios are even based on personal experience; I'll let you decide which ones.
