Cleaning Your Room - 3 Ways You Can Keep Your Home Clean With Your Spouse

When you live with someone else, one of the things you need to decide is how you are going to take care of the cleaning and who is doing what. Since cleaning might be one of the most common everyday things couples fight about, you should actually split the cleaning tasks together. By this way your home gets cleaned much faster and neither one of you can blame each other for the messy home, since both of you have agreed to work on this common household task together.

In this article, I concentrate on three different cleaning tasks that I find the most tedious and boring ones but also that are easier to do, when splitting the task with someone else.

Clean the bathroom together

I find the bathroom cleaning to be one of the most irritating tasks there is. That's why I split the task together with my wife. Occasionally my spouse takes care of the bathrooms while I do the vacuum cleaning for the rest of the rooms. This speeds up the cleaning, since I can focus on just vacuum cleaning and I don't have to jump back and forth between the tasks.

Clean the windows togetherWe clean the windows of our home twice a year. It is one of the most physically demanding cleaning tasks there is. That's why it's nice to do this task with someone else. When doing the window cleaning as teamwork, we can proceed much faster, rather than cleaning the windows by myself.

Decide who takes the trash outThis haven't been that much of an issue for us, but neither one of us can say that you haven't taken out the trash for a long time and that it's your turn now. If either one of us has put a trash bag near the main door, we know that whoever goes outside first takes the bag and puts it to a trashcan.
