Biggest Tragedy in the World Remained Un-noticed

Biggest tragedy in the world remained un-noticed.
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.

It is on record that Hindustan was partitioned in 1947. We have been told that at least 8,00,000 people had been killed and about 11,00,00,000 people had been forced to migrate to unknown places and even then the people of India and people of Pakistan declare that this winning of independence from the British was peaceful. It is on record that no tomb had been constructed in memory of those who had been killed and no tomb had been constructed for those who had been suffering for years together in the new set up and new places.. It is also on record that the people of these two countries celebrate their independence days, but they are not observing martyrdom day of those who had been killed without any fault lying on their part. It is also on record that the Parliaments of these two countries are not observing two-minutes-silence in honour of those who had been killed in 1947. It is on record that some persons in India and Pakistan have been identified as freedom fighters, but these martyrs lost their lives, but their heirs have not been given such benefits which are being paid to those whose parents or grand parents had been freedom fighters.
Time has come when these two countries and India and Pakistan must consider all these points and they should recall all those accounts which happened in partition of 1947. This had been the biggest tragedy of 20th century and if we go in history, we shall not find such a big upheaval nor we shall find killings at such a large scale and uprooting at such a large scale. This had been an unequal event in the whole history and therefore, the people of both India and Pakistan must have an introspection and they should repent and beg pardon from God because they had been fighting their war of independence and they were not supposed to kill their own people. It is on record that the British could leave this country safe and sound and we had started killing our own people who had never been at fault nor they were fighting in a war. They all were peaceful people and such killings would never be pardoned by God and all those who were responsible for these killings shall be punished by God without any relaxation.
We the people of India and Pakistan are recalling the killings and destructions caused by Atom Bombs in Nagasaki and Herosama, but no book of history on this side mentions these huge killings and that too of innocent people. The people who occupied the seats of power after the British on both sides, very tactfully ignored all these entries in history book except that there was partition in 1947 and India and Pakistan came into being. The people who are still alive and had suffered in 1947 must start a movement and they must demand that all figures be collected and specific entries be made in history books and all those who had been responsible for these killings should be identified and tried in open Courts. The people who are dead may also be identified and they are fund guilty, they should be given punishment posthumously. It seems we shall have to write off so many names who had been identified as heroes and their names shall appear in the lists maintained for the convicts. The history must be corrected because once becomes permanent, there shall be no one who shall recall all the events of 1947 partition.
