Getting Over a Broken Heart

Getting your heart broken just plain Sucks! For some people it can be more painful that any physical pain that they have ever experience. In the beginning, you may find that feeling of freedom kick in, but then the realization set in that you are no longer with the person that you love. Ouch!

Then your mind goes wild with thoughts of your former love. You may start calling or text them like crazy. Here you are driven by emotions, not in your "Right Mind". This may or may not sound familiar. A broken heart can hurt very badly.

You may come to the realization in time that getting back together is no longer an option. So, you start picking up the pieces and try to figure out what do do with all this emotional excess. Some lock themselves in a room, some drink; people have their own different ways of coping to keep their mind off the hole in your chest.

So here we go. This is tough, but you have to disassociate yourself from your situation and try to think rationally. I told you, this isn't easy. The person who has been hurt has a bad habit of over-analyzing what it is that went wrong and putting the blame on themselves. You've got to keep in mind that there were two people involved in the relationship. It was not All You.

-Take some time to yourself. You may want to feel that void with another person, but you may just end up hurting that other person. If you not healed, there is a huge chance that this person may invest more in you, than you in them.

-Find Creative ways to release your emotions. Write, read, do whatever you can to constructively release you emotions.

-Don't try to over analyze. Don't do this. This is the worst thing you can do. You will drive yourself insane, so Don't Do This. Unfortunately, there are always going to be unanswered questions. The answer you seek may not exist.

-Move on. After you deal with your recovery, you'll realize thing will be different and you will accept it.

-Accept you New reality. It's time to step out into your "new world". Your past may not have worked out. Put negative feelings to the side and look forward.

This is not an easy process, but it get's easier in time. Like I said in the beginning; it sucks. Hang in there, be strong. If you need more information about how to deal with this check this out.
