Meditation - A Link to Happiness

Wonder why you are so frustrated always and not so happy? Maybe you are stress, maybe your kids, spouse, parents or friends didn't understand you, maybe you don't have enough money or maybe you do not know the reasons why you are not happy in the first place.

Sometimes, by sitting down, enjoying the moments, enjoying the breezes or enjoying the crowd passing by is one of the ways of getting less stress and make life more enjoyable.

You can start by noticing your breaths, aware that you are breathing and alive at this particular moment. Follow your breaths, don't lose concentration or let your thoughts wander off and close your eyes for a short while. If your thought wander off bring it back and concentrate on your breathing again. Remember all this time you are aware of what you are doing. Practise it for a few minutes and don't get too tense up and breathe in and out just as naturally as you can.

The point of doing this exercise is to help you be more aware of your present moment. The first few times you might notice your thoughts always stray away, but do not worry as this is perfectly normal. With a little bit of patience and more practice you will realize it will make you less tense, more relax and have more peaceful moments.

Meditation helps a person realize their presence, able to concentrate better, improve memory (especially if you are quite careless and always lose your valuables) and sometimes this lead to a better relationship with others which ultimately translate to more happiness.

There are many programs or free readings out there that you can research on about meditation.
