My Meditation Journey with the 12 Holy Days of Christmas December 26- January 6

Thirty two years ago I officially stepped on "the path," the sacred path. It is a journey that one takes perhaps in many lifetimes. Within three months I started my work with massage, I began my weekly metaphysics classes, and my beautiful sister Donna was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I started my study of the physical body as I entered the world of Spirit. It has been quite a journey...always something new to learn and experience.

My sister left this planet after suffering for one and one half years. I learned that there was a reason for her suffering. I didn't understand what it was, but I knew there was a divine purpose.

Christmas of 1977 was the first year I observed the twelve holy days. It has been my secret dedication for every Christmas since that time. It is wonderful to keep on celebrating when the rest of the world thinks it is over. The twelve holy days begin on December 26 through January 6.

Christmas has always been a special time for me because Christmas Eve is my birthday. My mother named me Merry Christina. She forgot about our last name, Battles. Merry Battles, that is how it has always been. I've had many battles but in the end they have turned out merry. I like the irony, the yin and yang of it.

"Christmas Meditations on the Twelve Holy Days December 26 - January 6" is a compilation of my meditations from all these years. Each day is assigned to a disciple, sign of the Zodiac, spiritual center of the physical body, attainment, and thought meditation from the Bible. As each day progresses we are to see illumined all the spiritual centers, until the twelfth night when the whole body is seen in light.

My inspiration came from the book "Mystery of the Christos" by Corinne Heline. According to Heline, during the twelve holy days the Earth is enveloped by the love and light of the Cosmic Christ. The radiant Christ makes four major contacts with the earth during the course of the year. These coincide with the equinoxes and the solstices. During the sacred time of Christmas every cell, atom, and molecule is infused with the love of God. That love permeates to the center of our planet and to our own Spirit. It becomes a wonderful time for soul dedication to the divine path of discipleship.

Chapter one starts with the first holy day, December 26. The first holy day is assigned to Aries, the head, the disciple James, and the attainment is to see God in all people, things and circumstance, The thought meditation for that day is "Behold, I make all things new." (Rev 21:5)

From 1981 - "All things are renewed and taken up to the alter of life for new rebirth. Every aspect is used and used again. With the power of thought and mind, and through the grace and power of God, we can make all things new."

From 1994 - " 'I make all things bright and true. I am your life, your beloved. I am all that is and ever will be. I am the breath of your life, the heartbeat. I am the dream of your most wonderful dream. Try to use me for good.

'Try to remember, even in your fear, that My will is the supreme action of this universe. My will supersedes your little will. I am always working for good, regardless of the appearance. I know what is best, what is needed for your enfoldment, what is necessary for your growth. Relax and know I guide your every step, as a mother does a child.'"

These meditations are to be used for the Christmas season, and also during the time the Earth travels through each sign of the Zodiac. For example, as we are in the sign of Aries, read the meditations for the holy day of Aries. The universal focus for that time is "Behold, I make all things new." The book can also be opened any day at random to receive a message for that day.

The meditations I share with you came through me. The writing was effortless. I would light my candle, be still and the words would come to me.

These words are being shared in the hope that your hearts and minds will be balanced and open to the divine in all of us. God Goddess is within and everywhere present. The Spirit does speak in a "still small voice." We have to be quiet and start listening.

Participate in this ancient dedication to the twelve holy days of Christmas. Join in this opportunity to connect with your own Spirit and the true meaning of the Christmas season.
