Law of Attraction Workshop and the Role of Discipline

How can you use goals and discipline in conjunction with the Law of Attraction?

I have definitely worked in this arena in my life. As a young man practicing the Martial Arts, we were trained to be disciplined. And the goal was to earn a belt… then another belt… and then another belt… and work our way to the end result – which would be attaining the Black Belt. And I was very, very driven because of the passion my instructor brought out in me. He definitely taught us work ethics and to really go for it, and make it a way of life. And I believe what he was doing was impressing upon my mind – my subconscious mind – that I could one day become a Black Belt. He painted a picture for me – what that would look like. And I wanted to expand upon that. Because one day I heard him say, "You've got to live this, you've got to breathe it; you've got to eat it; you've got to sleep Martial Arts to truly become a Martial Artist."

So I took that to heart and I got my hands on a black belt somehow, and it was before the internet, so I certainly didn't Google it and find it. But somehow I got one.

Tristan recants - there was no Ebay! That was back in the day, and I had this Black Belt and I would visualize owning it, and earning it, and wearing it. And I would take it and put it under my pillow at night and I would just fall asleep with the belt there and thinking about what that would be like in my life. So what do you think? I was imprinting it in my subconscious mind on a regular basis. And it became my reality! But it did take time.

There is a period of time before things manifest and you don't want to rush it. So you need the discipline to stay on course. You need to know where you are going. You need to have those metrics so you can measure and see that you are actually making progress, otherwise you might give up. And so there are times where there is doubt, and maybe laziness, or an old habit showing up. You say, "You know what? I'm going to use that discipline. I'm going to push through this." And it's actually not that hard.

Because you start to remember where you are going and what your goal is and why you want it. And the rest just takes care of itself because you know what you want, why you want it, and you are driven.
