Top 7 Meditation Myths

Have you ever visited a meditational or spiritual site or read some related ebook which makes some unbelievable claims like... Meditation can do this ….. Meditation helps this …….

Some of the claims are so implausible that a layman or a man who has never practiced meditation thinks meditation as some sort of magical practice which will make him capable of doing the impossible. And after doing meditation for a while with no results he quits coz he realizes that it's not working. This is the worst thing internet sites can do to you with its claims.
I am writing this post because I think there many myths about meditation and related practices. By which many cheats are cheating innocent people to buy costly ebooks and tools claiming that it can do wonders in minutes. To be frank enough I may tell u straightforward that meditation is an art which if done properly for a long time can bring noticeable results there are no shortcuts to it.
Now coming back to the topic I will tell you the most popular myths related to mediation are:
1. Meditation is a quick fix for all your problems:While it is true that meditation can help to increase your problem-solving ability by enhancing your clarity of mind, it is not an instantaneous solution. It takes consistent efforts and time to meditate before you develop mindfulness that permeates into everything you do in life. Meditation is not something that you whip out whenever you need a quick confidence booster.
2. Meditation is about detaching from your desires and feelings:Some people mistaken meditation as a practice to detach from your thoughts, desires and emotions so that you are unmoved by them. But, to do so is to separate or remove yourself from them, effectively splitting yourself into different versions. That is not meditation; it is self-denial. In meditation, you are not running away from yourself. On the contrary, you are trying to get as close to yourself as you possibly can.
