‘June 5'Envioronment Day every year this date comes and goes, yes definitely we all mark this day as an important day in our year calendar, there has been a lot of hullabaloo in past few years. People do think about the utility of this day when they come across any article written exclusively for this day, or any speech delivered for this most burning issue of the earth. In the schools also there is a special mention on this aspect in the morning assemblies and in the Principals speech. From the most elite class of people in the world discussing for the issue in Copenhagen to few students having a discussion in the classroom, everyone is aware of the threats and the curses of the degradation of our environment.

Any number of causes can be stated for the problem, starting from a very little thing such as throwing litters around to mass disposal of industrial waste, from emission of vehicle smoke to outburst of industrial chimneys, from open drains to polluted pious rivers. Causes are many, and so are the solutions definitely the issue has taken the front seat of the most burning issues of the modern day world. Everyone almost everyone is crying out worlds to have concern about the condition of our environment which is turning out worst from poor day by day.  I wonder sometime is it worth  discussing the issues like this every now then is worth,  I guess it is not and it won't help just delivering speeches and publishing articles.

What is required as on the need of the hour is that we must realize the motive behind all this speeches, articles. They are not worth just scanning through but are supposed to be thought about. If not now then are we waiting for the day to come when we are left to cry, feeling helpless that nothing can be done now!

Though the condition is not as bad as titanic drawn in the Atlantic. There are people and organizations who continuously keep on encouraging us. I remarkably appreciate the efforts of organizations like NCC and NSS who continuously lend hands to for this noble cause. UP government has already given provisions to have at least one tree maintained in each house in Gaziabad. Let alone the Muslim community in Lucknow who has agreed to use plastic mugs in mosque to prevent the wastage of even a single drop of water from getting waste. Other than these there are a lot many wise and innovative strategies going around throughout the country.

Efforts like these are to be encouraged and spread wide around so that the environment can be saved. I hope all those who come across this article must come out with innovative ideas so that they can also contribute for the betterment of our environment. So that we are able to save our mother earth before it becomes too late for us to regret even. Think about it!
