Stomach gurgling

The causes of stomach gurgling are easiest to find out using the process of elimination. I modified my diet and reduced the intake of the food that is high in fibre and carbohydrate, as they worsen the symptoms. As I was eating less sugar and starch I experienced less stomach gurgling.

I started consuming smaller portions and not having fruit with a high protein meal. Instead, I would have fruit as a snack. But drinking my wine, soda or juice with the meal, made my stomach gurgling in protest. After a bite or two I would have a sip of my drink and the loud sounds in my tummy would soon start. So, quit drinking while having a meal and your stomach will stomach will thank you with less gurgling. You will aid the digestive power if you save your drink for after a meal.

If someone of your immediate family has been diagnosed with a celiac disease (allergy to gluten) it may well be, to the certain level you have it too.  Even if your blood test doesn't show it, you may still have a mild version. Only severe case is shown in the blood test. Celiac disease prevents the absorption of iron, other minerals and vitamins. In that case, most probably, you have low iron level as well. Not only you get stomach rumbling and bloating, you feel tired too.

Cut down on products which are hard to digest, like diary. Because sugar aids the fermentation in the intestines, it is important to eliminate food containing sugar. Eating enough fibre and drinking lots of water is recommended to fight loud stomach sounds.  Natural remedies like acidophilus, aloe vera juice and peppermint oil help reduce stomach gurgling.

If you are a fast eater, you need to slow down. That way you'll be able to swallow less air and reduce the amount of stomach noise. Avoid eating when in stress and always eat just to the point of being comfortable. Overfilled stomach is working too hard and as well causes gurgling in your stomach.
