Illness via a Poor Diet

Do you find it strange, that in this point in time, when all is ‘supposedly' much better than that they were fifty years ago, or fifty years before that, that people are dying from illnesses at a higher rate nowadays, then they were in those days. The actual illness I'm debating is cancer, but there are various other illnesses that men and women are now suffering from, which were no where near as common back in the ‘good olden days' as to what they're now.

Obviously, the situation is different now from what they were 100 years ago, even fifty years ago. There are lots of factors which might affect ones health, from on the job stress, insufficient exercise, even lack of sleep, but in this article, I'll be addressing a concern which is apparently getting worse and worse, affecting the majority of the population, and that is to do with our diet.

The thing is that, currently, everything is about profit. The manufacturers choose to produce their goods as soon as possible, at as little cost as is practical, to enable them to earn a large profit as soon as possible. Some companies are kinder than others, and do actually value these products that they provide their potential customers with, but on there thoughts are still PROFIT.

Now, apply this in terms of food. Manufacturers, which in this instance range from the farmers who actually plant and grow the produce, to the companies who produce their items, to the supermarkets who supply the products to the consumer. They all need to produce the maximum amount of products possible, for them to produce the best profit, and on the subject of food, that is mass processing, which usually includes plenty of chemicals, flavour enhancers and preservatives. Most of these are made to either make the process of creating the food item quicker, or even to boost the foods life expectancy, in order that it can take longer to expire, therefore costing the maker less cash in the end, as the item hangs about longer, meaning they will not spend money replacing it quite so soon.

Now, the body can handle these chemicals, although not effectively. While the body can digest these products, there is no accurate information about what it's doing to the body at a cell level or what effect these chemicals will have on our offspring in the future generation. The reports which have been carried out into this always seem to land up as inconclusive. They will never prove one way or the other, whether there is an effect from all of these foods or not. Obviously, as these powerfully rich manufacturers don't want the public knowing what effect their goods are doing to us. This could cause uproar, and they'd go out of business.

The best resolution for this can be to protect yourself from these mass produced products whenever possible, so no fast food or snacks like crisps etc. Obviously, you'd need to be built from pretty strong stuff to remove those things from your life 100%, nevertheless the less you possibly can consume of those items, the better off you will be overall.

Mentioned previously, there are other factors that can play a part in a person getting an illnesses or disease, one example is maybe it's hereditary, or it might be because of other influences in your life like stress, or your environment (pollution), but making sure you consume correctly, is also a major factor, and it is one that you yourself have 100% control over.
