What Is The True Concept Of Happiness?

Many of us do not understand what happiness is all about. We do not have any idea of the thing that we are in fact looking for. It is not easy to answer the query with a suitable reply. It is an eternal question dwelling in the minds of human race, which has been explained to some extent by the great and the learned. The concept of happiness is truly varying in nature where different opinions prevail.

Majority of us believe that the condition is encouraging for achievement of true happiness when the "we get whatever we desire" thing takes place. Well, if we take the opposite of the viewpoint, we will end in more grief in life compared to those very few moments of positive gain. This is the expression of a certain section of the modern approach to conceptualize contentment.

We must get away from this trend because with the specific inclination, we are bound to taste failure in the path to achieve happiness. We must concede that we go on desiring something or the other since our childhood and it has no limit until we leave the world. Therefore, happiness is in no way connected to the element of desire; otherwise we would suffer continuously from the agony of unfulfilled desires and failures in ventures. Desire is, therefore, an antagonist to happiness.

The problem starts with the attitude of falling victim to desire because we estimate the self-ability or limitation quite erroneously. If we can tailor our desires honestly, we can master the art of living without becoming a prey to the unholy mesh of false desire, which, unfortunately is a self created adversary in the path of happiness. It is the fruit of contentment, which can only be achieved when we become strong intrinsically. We learn to live happily even with small benefits when we are contended from inside, with serene thoughts and calm mindset.
