Interactive Psychic ClairvoyanceThe ability to look into the future or some other place where we are not present are powers which all of us would love to possess. Unfortunately all of us don’t have such special abilities. But a few people have been blessed with the ability to sense what we cannot with our limited human senses. These people are called clairvoyant and their special power is known as clairvoyance. The word clairvoyance is derived from the French phrases ‘clair’ which means ‘clear’ and ‘voyance’ which can be translated into ‘visibility’. It is a form of extra sensory perception which is used to gain information about a person, object, physical event or location. The ordinary human senses of sight, sound, taste, feel and smell are usually not used in clairvoyance. One who possesses the power of clairvoyance is called clairvoyant. There have been a number of clairvoyants all through human history. Probably the first one to be accorded the status of a clairvoyant was the Marquis de Puységur, a follower of Mesmer. He performed some feats of clairvoyance in 1784. The most well known clairvoyant was the American psychic Edgar Cayce. Clairvoyance has been studied extensively by various agencies around the world and especially by the Society for Psychical Research. Today, parapsychologists club clairvoyance together with telepathy, precognition and other related phenomena. |
