How to get much luckier in less than 30 days

Scientific investigations conducted over 10 years now prove that you can improve your lucky breaks by as much as 80% in less than 30 days. All you have to do is copy the 4 key behaviours of lucky people.

Here they are:

1) Get to know more people.

There is a famous saying that ‘you are only 3 handshakes away from the person you want to meet. So lucky people make sure that they talk to everybody, anywhere as often as they can: In the Post Office, The check-in line at the airport, On the train. You would be amazed to learn how many lucky breaks I’ve had just talking to other people. Lucky people do that.

2) Expect Good Luck

Write down (explicitly and in great detail) all the things you want on a piece of paper as if you already had them! Read your list of ‘wants’ every day when you get up and picture them for a few seconds. Psychologists call this The Law of Commitment. The human brain CANNOT distinguish between imagination and reality. And by reinforcing this increasingly clear image in your brain every day convinces it that the desired want is within it’s grasp. An additional boost is obtained by writing a list every morning of the things you are grateful for in your life.

3) Think ‘Learn’ not ‘Failure’

Most human beings enjoy their lack of luck. It provides an excellent excuse for giving up. When something doesn’t go according to plan they say, “Typical!…it always happens to me!!” What they fail to realise is that EVERYBODY has these daily tribulations and a life altering tragedies; EVERYBODY. The difference between the lucky and the un-lucky is the way they decide to react to these events. Whereas the unlucky go into kick self give up mode (it’s easier to do that, you see) the regularly lucky say to them selves, “So …what lesson have I learnt from this?” And whenever possible resolve either NEVER to do ‘that something’ again OR work out a way to handle a similar difficulty if it comes round next time. As the Japanese say: “It is not the number of times you get knocked down that counts but the number of times you stand up again”.

4) Get control of your self

One remarkable piece of your human self is only ever working at 10% capacity: your brain. The limiting factor which consumes the other 90% is the amount of idle chatter that goes on inside it every day. Psychologists have discovered that generally lucky and fortunate people actually make time most days to take it under direct control for a short while. They do this by consciously pushing away the chatter for about 30 concentrated minutes each day and allowing some form of happy day-dream. They don’t call it ‘meditation’ but effectively that’s what it is. It is most effective when they concentrate on just one tangible thing (an egg, an apple, a line of poetry) for that short period, pushing away any intrusive idle head-chatter. And it seems to be an essential factor in the luckiness of lucky people.

Do these 4 things daily for the next 4 weeks and let me know how your life changes.
