2 Reasons Why You Must Master Public Speaking

Public speaking is one of those skills that you really have to focus on if you want to succeed in life. Why is this important though? Who really cares if you're not good at public speaking?
Well the answer might surprise you.

Actually it's not that important and no one really cares if you are not good at public speaking.

So why the title of this article then?
Well when I say it's not important if you are not good at public speaking and that no one really cares, I mean that it is not a life and death situation. If you are not good at presenting yourself to people, you will still find a way to earn a living. However, if you really want to succeed in life, the ability to convey yourself and your message to an audience is vital.
Here are 2 reasons why.
If you want to earn as much money as possible, and progress as far as you can in your industry, you absolutely have to master the art of speaking to people. Think about anyone in your industry that has achieved success. I'm willing to bet they are pretty good at communicating with people. This is an important skill whether it is dealing with your boss, or with clients. Both will look at you far more favourably if you carry yourself well, and can capture their attention.

If you want to have successful friendships and relationships, and if you want to become an integral part of the community, you need the ability to communicate with people.

You will need to project yourself favourably so that people will want to spend time around you and will want to  build friendships with you.

If you want to form a strong relationship with your spouse, you need the ability to grab their attention. Obviously this is a different element of speaking to the one you would use in business, but the failure to communicate effectively is the number 1 reason why the divorce rate is over 50%.

Think about it. That means that 1 out of every 2 couples fail. 99% of this is because they fail to communicate with each other.

The good news about public speaking is that it is a great skill that can be taught. If you make sure that you get your hands on a good course and simply copy what other successful orators do, you eventually have to succeed.
