In Bible versus Quran: God says Come near O nations and listen

In the Bible, there are many prophecies that never happened.

This article discusses the Biblical prophecies about Edom.

Jehovah, the Lord God, prophesized that Edom will be so and so but all of theses prophecies never happened.

The announcement of God's prophecies:

Jehovah, the Lord God made the announcement of his prophecies; He said:

1. Come near, O nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it, the world, and all that comes out of it!

2. For Jehovah has indignation against all the nations.

3. He is angry with all nations; his wrath is upon all their armies.

4. The Lord will totally destroy the armies of all nations; he has given them over for slaughter.

5. The slain of the armies of all nations will be thrown out, and the stench of their dead bodies shall come up; and the mountains shall flow with their blood.

6. All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll.

7. All the starry host shall fade away and will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

To understand how the situation is very serious, we have to know that Jehovah, the Lord God used HisSwordto make his prophecies real.

Herein are the characters of God' Sword; Jehovah said:

1. Myswordhas drunk its fill in the heavens.

2. Myswordcomes down in judgment on Edom, the people I have totally destroyed.

3. Myswordis filled with blood, with the blood of lambs and goats; for Jehovah hath a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

4. Myswordis covered with fat, fat from the kidneys of rams.

Well, God will totally kill the people of Edom, butwhat about the animalsthere?

The wild oxen, the bull calves, the bullocks and the great bulls, all will fall with them.

What are the environmental changes that will happen in Edom?

1. Edom's land will be drenched, soaked and wet with blood.

2. Edom's land shall become burning pitch; it will not be quenched night and day; its smoke will rise forever.

3. Edom's dust will be soaked with fat, gorged with fat and made fat with fatness.

4. Edom's streams will be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into burning sulfur; and the land thereof will become blazing pitch!

5. From generation to generation Edom will lie desolate. It shall lie waste. No one shall pass through it for ever and ever. This never happened.

Then, who will possess Edom and dwell therein?

1. They shall call the nobles of Edom to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing; they will vanish away.

2. God will stretch out over Edom the measuring line of chaos, the line of confusion and the plumb line of desolation, the plummet of emptiness.

3. Thorns will overrun her (Edom) citadels; thorns shall come up in its palaces; nettles and brambles will overrun her strongholds.

4. The desert owl, the pelican and the porcupine, the screech owl will possess Edom; the great owl and the raven will nest there.

5. Edom will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls; it shall be a habitation of jackals and dragons and a court and an abode for ostriches.

6. In Edom, Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest.

7. The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons and the vultures will gather, each with its mate.

8. The Lord God allots their portions; his hand distributes them by measure. They (jackals, owls, falcons, vultures, hyenas etc.) will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.

These prophecies will certainly happen, Jehovah said:

Seek and read from the book of Jehovah: no one of these shall be missing, none shall want her mate; for my mouth, it hath commanded, and his Spirit, it hath gathered them.

What was the reason of these mass-destructions? The Lord God said:

For Jehovah, has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

---------------------------

Herein, there may be some notes and questions:

1- Is God angry with all the nations because of Zion?

2- The Lord God will totally destroy the armies of all nations; he has given them over for slaughter because of Zion?

3- What is the problem with Zion that led to all of this mass-destruction?

4- Esau, the son of Isaac and Jacob's brother is the father of Edom (Genesis 36:9)

5- To the best of my knowledge, there was no problem between Edom and Zion, so, why all of this mass-destruction?

6- It is well-known that none of the Lord God's prophecies about Edom has happened at any time throughout the History.

7- It is well-known that God is Love; that is why it is very hard to believe that He said or did that.

8. Also, it is said that God has a spirit, is He like us?

9- In addition, where is the book of Jehovah?

10- The Lord God ha a sword; it should be emphasized that the sword is mentioned more than 400 times in the Bible while it is not mentioned at all therein in the entire Quran!

---------------------------

On the other hand, in respect to the Quran:

1. Zion, Edom and Bozrah are not mentioned in the entire Quran.

2. Has the Lord God sword in the Quran?

In the Bible, we have seen that the Lord God hassword.

Faith-wise, this point is very important; it could correct your faith or destroy it completely.

First of all, Lord God, the Almighty Creator is unique. No one is similar or equivalent to Him.  Any form, shape, character that you may attribute to Him is certainly wrong.  If you imagine, say or believe that He has asword, this is not only wrong but it is a great sin that is unforgivable.

The Lord God, the Almighty Creator has nosword; He is not in need of aswordor a nuclear bomb to destroy Edom or to destroy the entire Earth.

If the Almighty Creator wants to destroy the entire Earth, He just says:" Be" and it is in no time.

3. Has the Lord God a Spirit?

It is well known that all the creatures e.g. Angel, Jinn, Human and animals have spirit. The Almighty Creator provides all the creatures with their spirit.  The Creator is not a creature that is why He has no spirit because if He has a spirit, then He is a creature like any other creature that needs the spirit to live.  Again, the Creator is not a creature.

Conclusion:

Anyone who says or believes that the Lord God has a spirit or aswordis a disbeliever and he will end up in the Eternal Fire in the Hereafter.

Isaiah 34 (New International Version)

Judgment against the Nations

1 Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it!

2 The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is upon all their armies. He will totally destroy them; he will give them over to slaughter.

3 Their slain will be thrown out, their dead bodies will send up a stench; the mountains will be soaked with their blood.

4 All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

5 Myswordhas drunk its fill in the heavens; see, it descends in judgment on Edom, the people I have totally destroyed.

6 Theswordof the LORD is bathed in blood, it is covered with fat— the blood of lambs and goats, fat from the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in Edom.

7 And the wild oxen will fall with them, the bull calves and the great bulls. Their land will be drenched with blood, and the dust will be soaked with fat.

8 For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion's cause.

9 Edom's streams will be turned into pitch, her dust into burning sulfur; her land will become blazing pitch!

10 It will not be quenched night and day; its smoke will rise forever. From generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.

11 The desert owl and screech owl will possess it; the great owl and the raven will nest there. God will stretch out over Edom the measuring line of chaos and the plumb line of desolation.

12 Her nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom, all her princes will vanish away.

13 Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles her strongholds. She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls.

14 Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest.

15 The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate.

16 Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together.

17 He allots their portions; his hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.

Footnotes:

a. Isaiah 34:2 The Hebrew term refers to the irrevocable giving over of things or persons to the LORD, often by totally destroying them; also in verse 5.

b. Isaiah 34:11 the precise identification of these birds is uncertain.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:

Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?
