Persuasive Public Speaking Tips That Work Fast

Are you ready to learn about some persuasive public speaking tips that really work? With what I call information Internet overload, I knew I had to come up with some simple methods that anyone could use right now. What you're about to read in this article, could change your life forever.

Growing up I was a shy kid from the country and the last thing I ever wanted to do in high school, was get up in front of my class and do his speech, but as life would have it I had to do the speech or fail the class. I certainly did not want to make my parents unhappy and let them down by getting a failing grade in public speaking.

So what I decided to do as a teenager was to start practicing the very basics of good public speaking. I mean seriously, why should I read all those incredible books on how to be a great speaker, when I haven't really mastered the basics. So without further ado, let's get started with making you a better public speaker.

The first thing we need to look at is your composure, this is how you present yourself to your audience.  You want to command authority and you do that by standing up straight. The worst thing you can do is stand up there in front of a crowd of people hunched over like an old lady. When you talk you should carefully look around the audience and use your hands. Some speakers will stand there and hold the podium, what I like to do is step away from the podium and walk around as I'm talking.

Sometimes as I walk away from the podium I will stop and stay in one place when I'm making a very important point and then I will start slowly walking again as I'm speaking. Please make sure that when you do this, you do not fall off the stage, so always take a moment to look where you're walking.

If you want an outstanding example to use as a model for how to present yourself and how to move your body, then please take a good look at motivational speaker Tony Robbins. You will pick up persuasive public speaking skills very quickly, just from watching him and why is that? Because Tony Robbins is a master of persuasion!

Next, you want to develop your own rhythm and speaking style, that you feel comfortable with and leave your audience spellbound. Sometimes you'll talk a little faster and at other times you'll talk slower, but it all depends on what you're talking about and you will get better with practice.

Last and certainly not least, your speaking should come from a deep emotional place within you, a place that connects with your audience. One of the greatest secrets to being a great salesman or a persuasive public speaker, is to believe in yourself. Now here's another secret that maybe you've never tried.

Before you go out and speak, say to yourself over and over again, I am the best public speaker in the world! Say it like you really believe it! What this does is program your mind for success and some of the best salesman in the world have used this very simple technique.  I've used this myself and it works wonders, because the mind needs help when it comes to focus and saying something over and over again, tells your mind and body what you want manifested.
