There are no rules to follow, no steps to take, no prerequisites needed. The most important thing about prayer to approach it ready to listen and hear what God is saying. You do not need to be embarrassed or worried that if you come to God in prayer and he is dissatisfied, he will no longer love you.

• God will never forsake us.
• We are the ones that can forsake him.
• If while praying you have sinned, ask for forgiveness.

Truly ask for forgiveness, and God will absolve you of your sins.

Prayer is incredibly important to foster a closer relationship with our God. It does not need to be done silently, it doesn't need to be done at night or in the morning. It just needs to be done.

• To completely understand that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins to provide us everlasting life, can not be put into words. But once this happens, you are expected by God to walk as a Christian and become closer to him.
