You Don't Hold The Watch ( A Letter To The World)

You don't hold the watch

(A letter to the world)

It's not fit for man nor beast

Homeless and alone

Facing humanities coldness

Wondering where next

We can go to

To call home

And yet we plod on

Sometimes wishing we were never born

Rendered, quartered and torn

It then comes to mind

Of a prayer I once heard

"We pray to thee O' God

Oh what have we done

To face this onslaught

Of bitter, blatant human scorn"

It hits me then

This question of ours

O' Lord what have we done?

We all seek the answer in what ever is our beliefs

What have we done O' Lord to punish us like this?

God say's

You

The reason is you.

Jesus, Gods only son

Taught not about mayhem and war

He taught peace

He didn't teach

Hate thy neighbor

But to love one another instead.

And yet, we humans

Has enough nerve to ask God

Over and over again

Why me Lord, why?

Why aren't you

Or

What's stopping you

From hearing my prayer

Ring, ring, ring,

Bong, bong, bong,

Chime, chime, chime,

And a good cockle doodle doo

Wake up and smell the coffee

What have we done?

A good look out our windows

Will give us a great view of what we

Hath wrought

Upon God's gift to us

Ourarrogance,    Ourbiasness

Ourpride,Ourprejudices

Ourcallousness,Ourscorn

YET

We are so blind to God's answer to you, me, us

That it's because of us.

GOD DID NOT CREATE THIS MESS!

MY BIBLE, God's Word tells me in Genesis

That when God created this world for us to live in

"IT WAS GOOD"

God, created this gift for us

And what have we done?

Squandered it away,

Divided it up,

And then will kill one another over it.

So many crimes

So many wars

So many deaths

So many, so many, so many.

We are like an experiment

gone wrong

and are more than willing to kill ourselves

and others over it in trying to fix it before

the professor comes back.

Jesus taught in so many words that

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Go in peace.

Church pews filled every Sunday

First prayer of the day is

O' Lord

Don't let the preacher, preach

On my sin today. Amen.

And then leave after the Sunday service

with their cup filled (until they get out of the doors , that is)

knowing full well that they will have a few days to raise hell uninterrupted.

Yet

We call ourselves Christians

Followers of Christ.

Superficial, Arrogant, Prideful.

IS this what Christ taught for us to follow?

My Bible teaches me

Love, caring, compassion

In Revelations 3:16

God says that because of being lukewarm

He will spat you out of His mouth

Why?

Well let's take going to church on Sunday

to make way to start raising hell on Monday. (a superficial Christian.)

Are you one of those

that God is talking to today?

He is saying repent

Are you?

Or are you one of those that

carries out the door

the same exact deceit in your heart

that you carried into Gods house?

God is saying repent

Your choice ,  Your decision

Or

Are you one of those that thinks they can wait until the very last minute to say

Oh, Now I Believe, and want to be saved and baptized?

YOU DO FORGET ONE THING THOUGH

You don't hold the watch

God does

And you may end up hearing "I KNOW YOU NOT"

It's to late, It's to late.
