Grief and Loss

If you have at any time asked questions concerning the purpose of your life, then stay with me because I have asked asked these questions as well. I have often pondered my existence and my purpose on this earth. Sometimes the answers come quickly, but most often they slowly evolve. What seems to be the natural progression of my questioning can be often traced to two questions. How can I find happiness? and What is the purpose of life?

Right now we will focus on loss. This is a defining moment, because what may seem to be obvious is not necessarily always the reality. Perhaps you have lost become unemployed,or lost your spouse, money, a friend, whatever it is it is a devastating experience. Experiencing loss is one of the most difficult moments in our lives, mainly because it brings us face to face with ourselves.

Loss is one of the primary reasons why we question our existence, yet it can be detrimental to our development. You could potentially take loss in any direction that you choose, the possibilities are endless. More often than not we think of loss as being negative, indicating elements of our character that are flawed.

The important thing to remember here is that there are possibilities out there and secondly YOU have to choose them. You are in control and you can make a difference! The next step is very important, you need to take action. Taking action during the grief and loss period is the most important step in the coping process. Well what action do you take? you already have taken a huge step by asking questions and remaining here. now you need to find the answers.
