Can I Overcome My Feelings of Being Beaten in Life? You certainly can overcome anything you want to in life, but the point here is that you really have to want to overcome your issues, or obstacles. Let me explain in a little more detail. When I talk about desire, we need to quantify that desire. Just thinking something would be nice isn't going to quite cut it, nor will a 'sort of' attitude work. I am talking about the strength of desire that you get when you are being held under water, and want to take a breath of air. Can you now relate to the intensity I am talking about? I am talking about true desire, not an 'it would be nice' desire, but the real deal, a true desire. So, what does desire have to do with being beaten in life? To best answer this question, I will refer to an example of some of the world's biggest names. To name just a few, people like Einstein were kicked out of school, and told they would amount to nothing. Another example is Oprah Winfrey. She grew up in a slum, and decided she would become a wealthy and famous woman. She did this by her thoughts, and her determination. My point here is that it does not matter where you come from, or what your circumstances are. If you decide you want to win, and achieve, you can. The biggest hurdle for most people to overcome is their own belief system, and their inner biases, and prejudices. We need to often encourage ourselves, if there is no one else to do it, and that is all we need. In most cases, we will be our most ardent supporter, but there can be exceptions to this rule. However, in my experience, if I am not supported by others, I just get on with the job at hand, and persevere. You will find, over and over again, that perseverance is another key of successful people, as this will always win through in the end. Hence to explain the issue of feelings of being beaten, whilst this can occur to all of us, from time to time, it is important to remember that the path to success is often laid with potholes, and we need to bypass, or overcome these with perseverance, and tenacity. This is the time to notice our inner abilities, and desires, as well as our talents. It has been shown many times that people who quit have often done so just before they would have succeeded. It is imperative to be focused, and determined, and you will, with your thought and determination, more likely succeed. In conclusion, you will find that your initial successes will breed further successes. |
