Creativity Skills - Putting in a Shift at the Idea Factory

Creativity! It's a beautiful word isn't it? It's also a beautiful feeling when creativity takes hold and leads to, well you know, creating stuff!

On the other hand, there is nothing worse as a creative writer, than staring at a blank page in a notepad or a blank screen on the computer, knowing something is expected of you, something interesting, something good but nothing actually happens!

The page or the screen stays blank and frustration kicks in, and for writers this can go on for painful, indefinite amounts of time. We call it writers block and it's horrible!

Writer's block is effectively an idea starvation, a lack of inspiration and a drought of creativity, a thoroughly miserable place to be.

So, what happens to writers when the dreaded writer's block descends?  Well, some just give up for a while and wait for their muse to return or for inspiration to come flooding back and some may, sadly, give up altogether! Others, however, take a trip to the idea factory, a magical place that feeds the creative juices and helps encourage and nurture the wounded muse back to health again.

Creativity isn't just an artist's expressive flourish, but an important part of everyday life, whether it is in home and family life or at the workplace or a business meeting.

Fortunately, the idea factory isn't just open to writers. It's open to everyone and anyone who is searching for an inspiration boost and those with a hunger to develop creativity skills.

Just like the writer who goes on an expedition to the idea factory instead of quitting, so can everyone learn to develop their creativity skills and put them to use in any number of situations. That's right! The skills can actually be learned, developed and even manipulated to fit specific circumstances and occasions.

Problems can be solved by using your new skills, for example, if you have read this far, you deserve to know that at the beginning of this article, (in which I was asked to write specifically about creativity skills) I had no clue where it would end up but hopefully you can see creativity in action and an article that makes at least a little sense!

For those that are really struggling, there are even creativity skills training courses that can be attended, where such things as problem solving, idea generation and creativity techniques can be learned as well as gaining an understanding of the potential blocks and obstacles that often get in the way of being creative.
