Don't Stop Short of Your Blessings

The one most single thing that can keep you from your blessings is pride. If you're too prideful to see that you need to change some things in your life then you are cheating yourself. You won't push through to your blessings. You've got to push through. A lot of people stop short of their blessings. It is sad, but true. Their blessing could be right in the next step; but they stop. They get tired, they get weak, and they get annoyed because it's not happening fast enough. Oh, I've been there. I think I've missed quite a few blessings. In fact, I know I have because I stopped short. I didn't want to work anymore. I was exhausted. It wasn't coming fast enough. I didn't see the fruit that I was bearing. I didn't want to tend to my garden. I just expected and wanted for it to just pop up and be there, for everything to be okay.

You know when you want to plant a garden, right? Well, you have to get the supplies needed to start the garden. You have to make sure the garden is in the right area to produce the fruits or veggies. You have to make sure the soil is fertile. Then you have to tend to the garden. When your garden is freshly planted, it's in a fledgling state. Regardless if it's seeds or little baby plants, you still have to nurture and tend to them until they are fully produced. You have to water the plants, fertilize them, and pull the weeds a.k.a. pruning. Then one day you notice that your little baby garden is growing and flourishing into a full grown garden. You see fruit being produced and you feel wonderful because you nursed something from a baby state into an adult state.

It's just like your blessings, you have to nurture your self, nurture your relationship with God, nurture your relationship with others; and your blessings will come. If the road seems to hard to travel and the mountains seem to steep to climb still push ahead. No one said that getting to the other side would be easy; but once you make it you will be blessed abundantly.
