THE SOURCE OF YOUR INFLUENCE/AFFLUENCE IS YOUR MOLDED CHARACTER Character molding is a conscious effort made by someone in learning the principles of good character and applying the same to one's behaviour. As a person the word of God encourage us to strive in studying and learning in order to cultivate godly discipline in our transactions (business) with people. Character molding enhances our moral strength and reputation in life. There are four words which seem to be related; Behaviour, Character, Attitude and Habit. These words affect what we do and practice with our bodies. BEHAVIOUR: Talks about conducting oneself in a proper way, to act or function in a particular manner CHARACTER: The combination of qualities distinguishing an individual's moral strength and reputation in life ATTITUDE: A state of the mind, behaviour or conduct regarding some matters, as indicating opinion or purpose. This may not be an inherent lifestyle, but it could be expressed in some situation. HABIT: An established way of behaving, that is one been addicted to drug. A person with particular traits, habitual actions or conducts. A person's habit and character are the propelling influence on his behavior. If one possesses evil habit and character, his actions and reactions to things will be ungodly. You are urged by God's word to develop qualities of moral strength and reputation in life to enhance your role as God's ambassador on earth (II Tim. 2:1,2) This is made possible in one's life through the following ways: By Possessing a teachable spirit or Attitude: The word of God charges you to study in order to improve your status in life. Learning brings gradual change in one's lifestyle. One of the major reasons some peoples' lives have not been transformed is due to their inability to subject themselves to study. Study is the act of subjecting one's self to learning in order to make a positive change and establish a distinguished quality or reputation in one's life. One's moral strength and reputation in life must be improved and sustained. To achieve this, you must possess a teachable attitude and must be willing to make amend where and when necessary. By Mentorship: This is an act of Imparting knowledge, ideas and advice to some one by a well experienced person to guide or help the said to be properly informed in order to avoid mistakes and damages. This practice of receiving counsel from mentor will enable one to adhere to quality traits or habits in a person's chosen career or profession. Character molding requires the office of a mentor (a wise and faithful adviser or tutor) (11 TIM 2:1-7; Prov. 27:17, Hebrew 12:1-7). The distinguish qualities great men and women of God exhibited in their generation came result of mentor-ship. You can influence your world if only you will give yourself out for proper discipline and total re-branding of your character.
