Is Your Wrinkle Cream Safe and Effective?

When you go through your daily skin care regimen, do you know what is entering your skin and bloodstream?  Studies show that we absorb more than half of what we put onto our skin, yet most people cannot name more than one or two ingredients in their most commonly used skin care products.  Almost ninety percent of skin care ingredients have never been safety tested, and many of these are also used in common poisons and pesticides.  When you really think about this, are you still comfortable with your wrinkle cream?

In addition to being filled with chemicals, many wrinkle cream products simply don't work.  When you use your favorite product, does your skin feel oily or greasy?  Do you find that your skin has dried out hours later, requiring you to use more of the product?  These things happen because most people use products that are largely alcohol.  Alcohol is very drying and damaging to the skin and can certainly make the signs of aging much worse.  The products you use to combat wrinkles may well be helping to cause them.

Taking the time to know what you are putting on your skin is very, very important.  Not only should your wrinkle cream be free of chemicals and alcohols, but it should also be comprised only of scientifically proven ingredients.  Vitamins E and C, Snap-8, and hyaluronic acid are very important ingredients when it comes to treating and preventing wrinkles, and they can only be found in the very best skin care products.

When you find a product that contains ingredients like those listed above or ingredients such as Matrixyl 3000, you are certainly headed in the right direction.  It is still important, however, to ensure that the product is fresh and that it has been minimally heat processed to ensure that the ingredients still have all of their beneficial properties.  Finding an effective wrinkle cream in the drug store is virtually impossible, but when you know what to look for online, you can certainly find a cream that will meet all of your anti-aging and skin health needs and requirements.
