Skin Infections

Blackhead is one of the most dangerous skin infections; dangerous as in it doesn't have any threat to your life. However, is dangerous as it kills your self confidence, make you conscious about your looks and if it is not handled or treated properly then might cause a permanent scar on your skin.

The most common mistake which we do is to squeeze out or pop out blackheads using hands. As this is the most common cause of infection and can transform into a serious abscess. As human it is very common for us to be tempted to pop it out as soon as we see a blackhead especially on our face. Here are few steps which you can follow to treat your blackheads at home. However it is always recommendable to see a skin specialist or a beautician

The very first step in blackhead extraction would be to soften your skin using a steam. You can do this either by using a Facial steamer which is easily available in the market or you can simply fill your basin with hot water or can use a wet warm cloth for this purpose. This will make your skin absolutely ready for extraction, there is one ground rule while extracting a blackhead try to pop it out once or twice if it is still not coming our then leave it.

1)      You can use basil leaves boil it in a cup of water cool it and apply it with a cotton ball.

2)      Mix salt, honey, lemon and curd this is a perfect scrub for blackhead removal

3)      Take one teaspoon of groundnut oil with one teaspoon of lime juice this can be used to prevent blackhead formation
