Sleep deprivation

A lot of people these days deal with sleeping disorders and are annoyed when they just lie in bed and keep turning without being able to get proper levels of sleep. You shouldn't underestimate the effects of not getting enough sleep and especially in the long run it can be really harmful for your health. The area of health where not getting any sleep affects you the most is your immune system.

When you don't get enough sleep your immune system grows weaker and weaker and you are a lot more prone to various diseases. Furthermore your logical brain has a really tough time working properly and after a couple of days of sleep deprivation you will seem really drowsy and have a hard time expressing yourself properly.
There are many reasons behind peoples lack of sleep.

The first and most common one is sadly enough, stress. In today's world we are constantly being pushed around by the clock and we constantly worry about stuff like not having enough money, not making the time plan we made or being late for that certain meeting with our boss. Stress is really unhealthy for you, especially so when it starts affecting your sleeping patterns and stops you from getting the proper rest and getting recharged for the next grueling day. If you let stress affect your life you will start a vicious circle, one that is very hard to get out of. If you are dealing with stress on a day to day basis it is a really good idea to build up a certain ritual you use before you go to sleep at night.

Something that can be really effective in order to get a nice night's sleep, is to take a really long warm shower. Just stand under the water and enjoy it and slowly you will start to feel really tired and sleepy. Don't rush it and don't take time on how long your shower takes, just enjoy the process and make sure you turn your brain off completely. After you get out of your shower, drink a nice warm cup of tea and lay down in your bed.

Focus on how relaxed your muscles, brain and body is and really enjoy the feeling. Start doing these steps as a ritual every single day and you will quickly see an increase in the quality of your sleep.
