Why is sleep at night so essential

Todays youth has an inclination to keep awake late nights, for reasons that are varied. This tendency is not only found in the developed west but is also rampant in other parts of the world. The adolescents derive immense satisfaction in refuting established norms like,'early to bed,early to rise makes a man healthy,wealthy and wise.'Not only do the teenagers require the right amount of sleep at the right time,middle age also demands the six to eight hours of deep sleep.Insomnia or sleeplessness is commonly associated with the forty-fifty age group.Extreme stress and mental tension is the reason behind this.Insomnia further welcomes with open arms , high blood pressure,diabetes and the like.Sleeping pills provide only temporary relief.Long term effects of such pills are disastrous.

A tired man/woman  should not take long to fall into deep slumber ,after a day's work. Keeping awake at night for the purpose of entertainment will nt really yield good results.Once in a while an exception is fine but that should not be a regular practice.We not only harm ourselves ,in the long run we actually exert a terrible influence on our youngsters, who need to have a healthy growth of the body and mind.They start emulating the wrong habits ,keep awake at night and have a ready excuse at hand ,which we cannot deny.

Some children feel they can concentrate better at night, when the whole world is asleep.Studying is done best at night,they will tell you,not realising the potent ,imminent danger in doing so. When the sun rises in the morning,oxygen supply is maximum, and we remember best.After a full nights rest the brain is ready to function, not that the brain sleeps when we do.But the reorganizing process is carried on in the human computer during those hours of sleep.At night the plants release carbon dioxide ,oxygen supply reduces.If we stay awake for whatever reason we go against the forcesof nature and therefore the ALMIGHTY.Sleep nourishes the brains circuit and help us to function normally.The teenagers need eight to ten hours of sleep, which necessitates them to go to bed early.
