How to Solve Stress: Self-confidence

One of the ways to solve stress is by becoming more self-confident. You probably know those people who always come late. They seem not to care that they are late. They have a big smile and almost everybody accepts it. When you think you'll be late it will give you stress. I don't want to tell you that you should be a latecomer and be happy with it. But when it does happen, it would be nice not to be stressed and just relaxed. Of course this counts for other situations, where you could be more relaxed instead of stressed.

It's necessary to be self-confident if you want to be relaxed in a stressing situation. So I'll give you some ideas about how to establish self-confidence.

1. Skip the words 'I can't' and 'I have to'. Do this consistently, so within a few weeks you really don't use them anymore
2. While relaxing, think about yourself achieving your success. Visualise your success and how you would feel when you achieved it. That way you can get used to a great feeling.
3. Say the following words to yourself every morning: "my work will be rewarded." Write them down on a piece of paper and keep it with you, so you don't forget.
4. Take responsibility for your decisions. This is important. When you can take responsibility and can say that you were wrong, it means that you accept yourself the way you are. You accept that you are not perfect. By knowing that you don't have to be perfect you gain al lot of self-confidence. Maybe this is a difficult one. But it's important!
5. An easy one: read biographies of famous people you admire. While reading you will identify yourself with them, this will make you feel more self-confident.
