What you need to know for babysitting!Babysitting! A teenagers favourite way to earn money! All you need to do is pop over and put the kid in a headlock till the parents come back, its the easiest way to keep the child safe till the parents come home. Right? Wrong! The parents always ask the child when you're gone how it went, if its good, then you're asked to babysit again, if not, sorry but you lost a client! 1)The very first thing you need to do it type out and print a page that the parents need to fill in before they go: Kids name and Age: Allergies/what I should do if they react to something: Fears: Favourite thing to do at home: What time will you be back at?: Contact details: Neighbours contact details: Kids problem? (bed wetting, can't be alone e.g.) : Anything else I should know?: What time should the kid be in bed and how much TV can they watch?: The parents have to fill in everything, if they can't, you might be gambling with someones safety and sometimes even life! These days a lot of peoploe suffer from stuff like diabetes and allergies or other problems so you have to know about it. Don't let anything put you off from doing it again, their other babysitter might be very unsafe or irresponsible. You never know. 2)Next you should explore the house, see where the food is and the toilet (in case of emegencies!) and where everything is. 3)Next you have to interview the kid and find stuff out about it. Don't let the kid get to bed too late or watch TV the whole time. If the kid wants to watch something, check the times and give it a time limit. After half an hour, the kid could go off and play when you pause it, if their good, they can watch another half an hour. Try to keep the kid away from electronics such as computer and TV's for as long as you can. Don't forget how bad they are for the kids brain! You should also have a box full of toys and paper and colouring pencils and sart stuff or anhything else you can find to amuse the kid for as long as you can. Its creative too! Thats all I can think off, the most important thing is what the kid has problems with, has it allergies? and emergency conact details! Don't for get the question page! |
