Diamond Rings Options for Weddings

When most people think of diamond rings , they think of engagement rings.  Setting diamonds into a wedding band was once considered to be showy and pretentious, but not anymore.  Diamond wedding rings have grown in popularity as couples look for something more distinctive and individualistic than plain gold rings.  Whilst the engagement ring symbolizes the first step, the wedding ring seals the commitment and what bride-to-be wouldn't agree that diamonds will get any marriage off to a sparkling start.

As with engagement rings, diamonds are integrated into wedding bands as symbols of purity and fidelity.   The design of diamond wedding rings is however different and they rarely feature a single diamond at the center of the ring.  Even if only one diamond is used, as is often the case with groom's ring, it is usually set off-center or otherwise integrated into the overall design rather being the focal point as it is in an engagement ring.

There are many styles of wedding ring and one type that has become popular in recent years is the wedding, or bridal, set which includes both the engagement ring and the wedding band as an integrated pair of rings.  This can include a simple channel setting of diamonds for the wedding ring that can be easily matched up with a variety of engagement ring designs, or a simple band with several diamonds set in flush settings across its surface.  Pavé settings made up of many small diamonds set closely together are also popular because the entire ring sparkles and shimmers as it reflects the light.
