A Photo Booth Wedding

There's something about photo booths that cause you to check all your inhibitions at the door.  Tongues stick out. Noses are picked. Kisses are given.  For the most part, anything goes once you close the curtain on a photo booth.  Well, the long-time carnival attraction is making its way into wedding receptions.

Wedding receptions typically include food, drinks, music, and dancing—pretty much all the crucial elements for a good party.  Well, why stop there?  People tend to remember parties that introduce something different.  Imagine being at the party where some genius realized he could drink a beer faster by using a funnel.  Okay, maybe that's not the direction you want to go.  But, a photo booth can be the perfect amount of flair to make your wedding reception different from the rest.  So, how does one go about locating a photo booth?  There aren't many photo booth stores, are there?

Believe it or not, there are those who have ventured into the photo booth industry.  In most major cities, you'll be able to locate a party vender who would be more than happy to set you up with a photo booth.  However, you might want to ask your wedding photographer if they would cater to such a theme. Wedding photo booths are a growing trend, and photographers are well aware of this.  High-end wedding photographers will typically offer this service as an add-on to your package.  By taking this route, you limit another person you need to stay in contact with—the vender in this case.  And, you also ensure that even your photo booth shots will be top quality.  If people are going to be making fools of themselves, you might as well catch them in the best light.

On an ending note, if you decide to utilize a photo booth at your wedding, there are a few things to consider.  First and foremost, take thought in where to put the booth.  It's a flair, not the center of attention.  You want to make sure people know it's there without being a nuisance.  Also, consider using the photos as party favors for the guests.  This will help both you and your guests remember the special day. Oh, and lastly, by all means, make sure you and your new spouse make it into the booth to get some wacky, memorable photos too.
