1. Hair gels and other hair products can irritate the scalp in some people causing dandruff.

2. Never scratch your scalp as that can lead to increase in dandruff condition in future.

3. Avoid dyeing your hairs until it is of utmost importance.

4. Massage some oil on your scalp about 3 times a week. Never rinse it out.

5. Shampoo containing tea tree oil is very effective in getting rid of dandruff.
