In traditional Chinese medicine, high FSH is defined as the process of continuous surging of yin which cannot stimulate the ovarian to produce the follicle because of yin is deficiency. This leads to the pituitary gland producing more FSH hormone. Herbs, acupuncture, and foods are used to treat high levels of FSH caused by kidney yang deficiency:

A. Herbs
a) Ba ji tian - (Morinda root and vine)
This warm herb has been used to strengthen kidney and liver channels by enhancing kidney functions, strengthening yang and promoting urinary secretion.

b) Rou gui (Cinnamon bark)
This hot herb has been used to tonify the heart, liver, kidney and liver channels by fortifying kidney yang and warming the yang and qi caused by kidney deficiency.

c) Du zhong (Ecommia bark)
This warm herb has been used to strengthen the liver and kidney channels by tonifying the liver and kidney, and promoting a smooth flow of qi and blood in the entire body.

d) Rou chong rong (Broomrage stem)
This warm herb has been used to promote the functions of the kidney and large intestine channels by tonifying the kidney and strengthening yang.

e) Bu gu zhi (Psoralea Fruit)
This hot herb has been used in promoting the spleen and kidney channels by enhancing kidney, and strengthening spleen and yang.

B. Acupuncture
The points of acupuncture are:
a) BL23 (Shenshu)
b) GV4 (Mingmen)
c) GV20 (Baihui)
d) ST 36(Zusanli)
e) CV 6 (Qihai)
f CV 4 (Guanyuan)
g) CV3 (Zhongji)
h) SP6 (Sanyinjiao)
i) Etc.

C. Foods
a) Onion
b) Radish
c) Pistachio nuts
d) Walnuts
e) Leek
f) Shrimp and lobster
g) Black pepper
h) Wheat germ
i) Etc.
