How To Boost Your Memory With This Amazing Stuff

There's a lot of great things about growing older. Wisdom, elegance, grace, wealth all seem to grow as we get older and older. There are some fairly nasty things about getting older too such as various health problems and of course death! One of the worst things about getting older though is the slow and steady decline in memory and that's exactly what I like to talk about in this article today because there are steps you can take to boost your memory as you get older.

Experiencing a memory decline is nothing to be ashamed of, it really happens to all of us at one point or another as we get older and if it's happening to you then you should talk to your doctor right away becuase there are a number of options that are available now that might not have been available even just a few years ago.

One interesting item that you may never heard about is phosphatidylserine which some people are calling a memory boosting marvel.  Phosphatidylserine is a compound that generally occurs naturally in brain cells, actually in the outer membranes of brain cells to be precise. It is also found in certain plants as well.

Some studies that were sponsored by the National Institutes of Health or NIH show that this compound improves memory as well as concentration in many people who suffer from different age related and memory loss type diseases. It even had some effects on Alzheimer's disease in some cases.

There are some approved prescription medications for Alzheimer's and phosphatidylserine apparently will work nearly as well or as well as several of them without some of the harmful side effects such as liver damage.

But those are extreme cases of memory loss; what about people who are just slightly suffering? If you are a healthy individual and you just want a hone your memory skills then I suggest you try one 100 mg capsule of this stuff everyday.

If you've got more severe memory problems then you can try two to three capsules a day though you don't want to take any more than that because it will not have any noticeable effect at higher than 300 mg levels.

Ginkgo biloba is also a so-called memory enhancing herb and you can take it as well as phosphatidylserine without the two causing any problems for each other. You can find both of these items in most health food stores.

As with any and all medical related advice I suggest you speak with your doctor before you take either one of these items. They're probably going to be okay but you never know how they will react to other things you're taking or two your specific diet so it's better safe than sorry to just talk to your doctor before hand.
