Every girl wants gorgeous eyes. Now every girl can with these easy steps! Before starting, you need to make sure you have all the right beauty products and accessories. You will need a makeup mirror, tweezers, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and paper towels or tissue to wipe away excess eye makeup.
Eyebrows
By shaping your eyebrows, you can open up your face by making your eyes seem larger. Defining your eyebrows can help to keep you looking young and youthful. Start by combing your eyebrows into their natural shape. Next, pull out eyebrows one at a time with a pair of tweezers. Grip the hair firmly, and pull it out in the direction that it grows in. Pluck outwards from your nose to the edge of your eye. Throughout plucking your eyebrows, make sure that you are keeping your eyebrows symmetrical by checking them in a makeup mirror.
Eyeshadow
Eye shadow is great for making your eyes seem bigger, making your eyes seem closer together, or further apart. Darker shades of eye shadow will make your eyes look small. Conversely, lighter shades make your eyes seem larger. Apply a light shade to the eye lid, then blend this with a darker shade to the edges of the eye lid. To make your eyes seem closer together, apply a darker shade to the inner corner of the eye lid and make the the outer edges lighter. To make your eyes seem further apart do the opposite, and make the inner corner lighter and the outer edges darker.
Eyeliner
Eyeliner is a great way of defining your eyes - making them really stand out. Eye liner does however make eyes appear smaller than they are. It is therefore best to apply eyeliner to big eyes. Eyeliner should only be applied in good natural light. There are make up mirrors with backlights that are a great alternative if you need to apply your eye make up in the evenings or in a room with poor natural light. Pick an eyeliner that matches your mascara for best effect.
Mascara
Mascara is used to emphasise your eye lashes, which in turn emphasises your eyes! It can make your eyelashes look much fuller and longer, which in turn makes your eyes look even more desirable!
Choose a mascara that goes with your eyeliner. Black mascara is by far the most common - it works well with all hair types and colours. Different shades of mascara work well with different hair colours.
Start by wiping any excess mascara off the mascara wand. Apply the mascara to your upper lashes first, by using full strokes from their base to their tips. For your lower lashes take care not to smudge under the eye. The lower lashes need less mascara to coat them than the upper lashes. when applying mascara to the lower lashes, apply it from side to side rather than up and down.
Now you can sit back and admire your gorgeous eyes in the mirror!
