Is A Benzoyl Peroxide Wash Going To Cure Your Acne?

Benzoyl peroxide is the most common and arguably the most effective  ingredient in many a acne treatment product  . In the particulary sunny days, you should try to avoid to much direct sunlight to your face, especially right after applying benzoyl peroxide. Large sunglasses are a good way to protect the eye areas and for most people suntan lotion is also a good way of protecting their skin. Obviously, though, if your skin becomes overly irritated with sun screen lotion/benzoyl peroxide wash, then you should avoid to much direct sunlight to the skin altogether. Make sure that there is no history of any allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide.

To make sure, you can consult a dermatologist first and they can usually determine if there is some kind allergic reaction to the chemical by using simple test.    It is recommended to avoid the usage of other medicated products, if you are using BP wash. While using any kind of benzoyl peroxide product, products containing alcohol, especially if you have very sensitive skin. Most perfumes, after shaves and the likes have alcohol as their main ingredient.

If you think cannot live without perfume or make up, apply it scarcely and if possible find non alcohol based products. There are plenty out there. Pregnant women should always consult a doctor before applying any kind of chemical based product or even herbal treatments for that matter. Acne treatments are no exception.
