Sometime after your pledge to stay together forever something was lost. You broke up. One of you may have screwed up and cause the break up, or it may have been a joint decision to split. In any case, one of you decided to leave because they thought it would be better to find someone where the relationship "fire" doesn't fade.

Well, here's a big tip.... The fire always fades! Every relationship starts off with flames of passion and excitement. You're both rather unknowns to one another and you're both racing to spend as much time together as possible and learn as much about each other as possible. But in time, this level can't sustain itself.

The important question is, was the fire (passion, excitement, happiness) ever there in your relationship? If so, it probably still is, but it very well could be suppressed or hidden from sight. In cases like this, it just takes a little time and effort to bring the passion back out.
