How to Have A Clear Vision

Many people may think they have a clear vision of what they want in life. Most really don't know what it takes to have a clear vision for themselves. What do you see yourself doing? Can you clearly see this? If you cannot clearly define your vision, here are some things to ponder.

Look within yourself. You have to determine what moves you and what excites you. This is very important to keep yourself moving in the right direction towards your vision and goals you have set for yourself. The most excited people you see in business are probably the most successful. Ask them what their vision is. I bet you will get a crystal clear vision answer from them.

Look behind you.Ask yourself what life has taught you up to this point. Now I am NOT saying to live in your past, but to go back and visualize the experiences you've had. Experience provides us wisdom that's required to fulfill our destiny. Understand that we need to learn from our past to move forward. Ask yourself: "what does my past tell me about my future?"

Look around you.In order to fulfill your destiny, it's required to have the right people in your life. Are the people you associate with provide the support you need for your vision? Or are they bringing you down to their level? Most people surround themselves with the ones that aren't right to share their vision with and soon the these people lose sight of their vision because of over surrounding with the wrong people.

Look Ahead.Your vision and dreams are always set in the future. Are you looking ahead in your life to see exactly what you need to do to get to your vision? It takes a lot of discipline to stay on track and work through the distractions that will present themselves in the future. It's the faith that you have in yourself that will get you through the obstacles in the future rather than around them.

Look Beside you. What resources are you surrounding yourself with right now to achieve your goals? Do you have the right books, CD's. people to mastermind with, or community in your presence? The greater your vision the more resources it will require.

In order to have a clear vision, you will need Focus and Discipline. For me, this was a lot harder to do than I thought. But I didn't want to be that dad who works 60 hours a week only to come home and see that his son was already sleeping! I wanted to be that dad who walks his kid to school everyday, pick him up everyday, never miss his baseball games, and never miss his school activities.

Having a clear vision is like a dial on a radio station. I'm sure we all have a favorite radio station. But what if you are tuned into 95.5 when your favorite station in 95.7? Yes, you may still hear the music but it's not very clear. What can you do to have that clarity? You need to make a little tweak! Setting yourself to the right station allow yourself to 'see', 'feel', 'hear' and 'taste' your vision!
