If you were to assemble and to ask successful entrepreneurs and failed entrepreneurs, what they did to succeed or fail, most of them would mention a mentor or a lack of functionality ... Blame genetics or outside influence. But if you ask exactly the same group if they used the 'SECRET', 99% of successful entrepreneurs would say yes - and almost all of the ones who failed wouldn't know what you were talking about ... The secret to becoming a successful entrepreneur is very, very simple. It is what is known in the trade as "Quantifiable Goals". This may seem difficult to understand, but once you finish reading this article, you will understand what that it means - and why it is so important.
Say, for example, that you walk into a room full of entrepreneurs, and we invite them to ouline their objectives. To explain why they are ultimately in business for themselves. Most of them would say something along the lines of time or money. But look at them being confused when asked why they want to earn extra money or time. This is the most important part a 'Quantifiable goal'. Any person can be said to want to make money, but why? Is there anything in particular you want to buy? Something you want to spend it on? Once you determine what you want the extra time or money for, You've just taken a massive leap towards being successful. You now have a goal. For example, you want the extra money to buy a car. Buying a car is their goal, then comes the next part the Quantifiable bit.
How much would you spend on this car? $20,000?, $50,000?, 100,000 dollars? You must have a specific amount of money you want to spend or a specific amount of time, to achieve your goals, really set targets. So when you earn $ 20,000 or 5 hours to get them, you're essentially reaching your goals. But wake up and decide to earn $20,000, does not allow that to happen. So how do you achieve your long-term Quantifiable Goal? Breaking it into small, medium-term Quantifiable goals. As an example we used, to buy a $20,000 car, your medium-term objectives will probably be to do with money. You can set goals to complete two projects, each of which give you $10,000, or up to 10 projects that will bring you $2,000, or break it down even more.
But what are those goals anyway? They are always difficult to achieve, and how do you know what to do to achieve these goals? Well, break all the medium-term objectives into short-term Quantifiable goals. For example, if you have chosen two projects at a cost of $10,000 each, your first goal might be to think about what type of projects you can do to put that much money in your pocket. The next goal would be to conclude the sale in a project, then complete the project and, finally, to collect payment. In this way, each medium-term objective is broken down into easy to manage tasks.
What you need to do at this point is break all this down into a graph to help establish your goals. Put all of your Quantifiable goals on the top of the graph paper. Then put each of its medium-term goals on another piece of graph paper in a horizontal line just below your goal in life. Then, directly under each objective in the middle, fill out a form with the short time it takes to achieve each objective in the medium term. This method will help you visualize what works, and how each step is necessary to achieve your dream. Now you want to tick each short term goal as you complete it,doing one sheet at a time. In this way, you can see your outcome increase rapidly. Each time you complete a short term goal, this will bring you one step closer to achieving your medium-term goal, and then a step closer to achieving your goals of life.
Now that you know the SECRET, what can you do? I propose the following visualization techniques, build a'life pyramid' on the wall next to were you are working, which you can see.look at it from time to time, which keeps you on the right road. Award yourself when you have completed your objectives - ranging from a small success to the end of the whole pyramid. And it will likely be a positive experience in your life to see that the pre-pyramid - the pyramid and the construction process itself puts you in the right direction.
