Achieving Dreams!

The most successful men in the end are those whose success is the result of steady accretion.– Alexander Graham Bell

Every single person wants to be successful and achieve all the dreams they had ever desired. But, is it only the ‘desire' that will help them? Absolutely not!

Every dream, big or small, is achievable but one has to do hard work for long. They need to persist against all adverse situations and keep doing their duties. At last, a day will come when their tree will bear fruits. Times may come when his dreams appear unachievable, when people around them speak ill of them and when everything seems to go against them.

Success doesn't come overnight and one has to perspire for long in order to achieve it. He or she has to develop strategies and plans for reaching to their desired stage. Where there are many roads – good and bad – the shortest and best one is the straight one. Here one should also note that no shortcut road to success has been created and the person has to travel throughout the path.

Long term goals

You exercise hard with your brain and make out as to where do you want to be finally. And this calculation has to be done with the feeling that you already have everything needed to be there at the final destination. There shouldn't be any ‘ifs or buts'. It should be clearly stated as yes I want to be there. No monetary problems or illness problem can keep you away from achieving what you want in life. No limitation can stop you.

Your goal should be perfectly clear. If there is a desire of yours to become rich, you will have to make it clear for yourself as to what definite amount of money to you want by that time.

Just, the strong will has to be there, and even God comes down to support you. Paulo Coelho, in his famous book – Alchemist, has stated the same thing. The essence of his statement in the book is something stated as all forces of nature work to make a person successful when he or she is willing to achieve it. You just need to search out the ways to your destination.

Short term goals

Your final stage is the one where you would be after years or decades. But, for reaching there, you have to pass through multiple stages of successes and failures.

Actually, you can't directly reach to achieve your long term goals but there is a long way to follow. This path should be broken into smaller ones while heading towards the longer term goal. I mean to say that when your final goal is known to you and your initial point is also known, paths can vary.

Here you have to again plan for short term goals and work on that. But this has to be done with an eye on your long term goal such that they both don't go against each other. This will make your long term goals impossible to be achieved. This could be the goals for each year or each month.

Daily goals

When you have created your short term goals and you know where you want to be after a particular time period, it gets easier to achieve. After this, you have work on them all by preparing goals each day revising your work during the night.

Here, you need to prepare yourself to work hard for achieving your goals everyday. There should be a sense of direction towards which you have to work and when you reach the goal each day, it is a strong confidence booster. And so it has been suggested that the daily goals must be reasonable and not that which your can't achieve. As achieving these daily goals is a great confidence booster, failure to do the same just has the opposite impact on us.

Working hard, accomplishing your daily goals, is sure to pay in the long run too. If you are able to achieve your daily goals and then the short term goals, there is nobody who can stop you from reaching your final stage – your long term goal.
