Express Your Unique Independence

Independent: not subject to control by others, showing a desire for freedom, being enough to free one from the necessity of working for a living.

According to Merriam-Webser online, that's the definition of being independent. "Being enough to free one from the necessity of working for a living"...that bears re-reading, because that's what sums up being a soul-driven entrepreneur.

When you recognize that you are here for a unique purpose that ONLY you can fulfill, and really GET that, the small stuff won't be able to stop you anymore. You will recognize that you are "enough" just by being. It's not about other people, the resources that you think you don't have, the time that is never enough, the money that you don't have enough of to do what you want... you just do it anyway. Because you are "enough" to get it done AND because your spirit is pulling you through the eye of the needle to express your true inner nature - that's why each of us is here.

Who you are has nothing to do with the outer trappings of what you might think is important. By connecting deeply with WHO YOU ARE, you are tapping into source energy... and THAT is freedom.

By virtue of being a soul-driven entrepreneur (either established or in the making), you are already connecting with opportunity, independence and the desire to play with the universe in creating a life for yourself and the people you help. You are claiming your desire to live with greater freedom, to go beyond your perceived limitations, to align with a higher vibration of being in service to others using your natural, unique gifts. That's not work... it's living to a rhythm that a lot of people can't feel (and often can't understand).

Three Things You Can Do Today:

1. Complete this phrase: I know I'm successful by _________.The reason this simple sentence is so powerful is because this is how you can know you've reached your success. Personally, I have two of these that have guided me on a daily basis for at least the last decade (I recommend no more than three of these phrases for yourself, by the way). Here are mine: 1) I know I am successful by the degree of positive transformation that I facilitate in, through, with and for the people around me. 2) I know I am successful by the degree of independence I have in making my decisions in life and business. I guarantee that if you create your success phrase(s) right, it will have the power to carry you through the tough times... in fact, I'm happy to report that I'm living proof... :+)

2. Get rid of what's NOT you.So often we think we need to add more, learn more, be certified, etc. But independence are really about releasing what you are NOT. Feeling the unfettered freedom of moving "lighter" makes it a lot easier to gain momentum toward what you want. Whether it's clutter in your environment, old marketing messages or programs that don't reflect the current "you" in your business, or clothes that no longer suit the image you want to project, get rid of it. Give yourself the gift of moving through your life and business more freely.

3. Don't run from - move toward.Independence is about what you want to live your best life on your terms, and that is a much more powerful motivator over time than running away from what you don't want. If you find yourself making decisions from fear, scarcity, conditioned patterns, other people's judgments or anything that is negative, you're operating from weakness and diluting your ability to create what you want. Don't focus on the deficiency, don't build up what isn't working by giving it attention - decide what you want and start taking action today to get there.
Someone once said that the masters did what they do so well that one never knew if they were working or playing... take this as your cue to be enough of yourself to never have to work another day in your life. Make the commitment to manifest your life's purpose manifest through your own soul-driven business. Viva La Independence!
