Homemade Acne Treatment That Is Safe And Effective

Anyone who ever struggled with acne knows it's a difficult battle to win. If the usual cleanse, tone and moisturize routine don't work for you, it may be time for a change from the traditional products to a homemade acne treatment.

There are many causes to acne, and it's probably safe to say that some of us are just genetically predisposed to bad skin. Other than that, environmental factors like stress and pollution play a big part in causing acne. Diet is another major factor.

I know I have tried a lot of OTC medications only to find out that none of them really work. I tried lots of different treatments, including expensive acid-based creams and lotions. I've also tried several chemical peels without any results. I was inclined to try getting microdermabrasion, but I've been in contact with people who tried it and it really did nothing. As for laser treatment, apparently they do work, but they are very expensive and you may need several sessions.

If these expensive treatments are not an option for you either, I could try a more natural approach. I've read on the internet about homemade acne treatment, and found two that worked well for me.

I've realized from personal experience and a lot of research that using too many products on your skin can worsen your problem rather than help it. That's because they are designed to rob your skin of its natural ability to cleanse itself, so that you have to keep buying the product. This is how pharmaceuticals make their money!

Your best bet is to use all natural products. Also going to a spa and sweating out all the toxins in your skin should really help to bring it back to its natural state.

One homemade acne treatment you can try is washing your face with apple cider vinegar as a toner morning and night. It is a very mild acid that dries out the pimples and helps with reducing the look of acne scars. But be patient as you may not see any improvement for the first week and 1/2.

This treatment did improve the aspect of my scars, but only for a while. After that I tried another one with much better results. It's an all-natural, drug free method to get rid of pimples, stop the accumulation of acne scarring and help remove the old ones.

Just like with many other things in life, the best treatment is prevention. It's very hard to completely get rid of acne scars without aggressive (and expensive) laser treatments. But you can reduce the risk of permanent scarring and even soften the ones you already have.
