As we get older, it seems that our life is accompanied by a batch of pills that we have to take on a regular, but completely uncoordinated basis. Daily, weekly, several times a day, before eating, after eating, etc. So, is there a way that you can remember to take all your pills on time?

1. Invest in a pill box

Not the thing they had in the second World War. But a device that keeps all your pills in one place with space for labels so that you know which pills to take at what time. Of course, the older you get the more pills you have, so be wary of ending up with a box the size of a small suitcase.

2. Set alarms in your phone

Most modern cell phones have an calendar system that allows you to set up repeating alarms. So if you need to take a pill at a given time on a set day per week - often the most difficult to remember - then set yourself up an alarm reminder.

3. Put your pills in the right place

If you need to take some of your pills just before eating, put them in the cutlery drawer. If you need to take them soon after a meal, put them near the coffee that you always make yourself just after a meal. You'll know your routines and triggers. Put your pills "in the way" of those regular events and you'll be much more likely to remember to take them.
